Think Japanese cuisine isn't spicy? Think again. Yuzu koshō is a chilli pepper condiment that brings heat to all kinds of authentic Japanese dishes. Made from a fermented blend of yuzu peel (a citrus fruit), fresh red or green chillies and salt, this Japanese chilli paste is an instant flavour bomb. Strong floral yuzu notes from yuzu fruit bring a heat that's distinctly Japanese, and adds interest to anything from noodles and sashimi to vegetables and chicken breasts.

Whereas red yuzu kosho is made from red Japanese chili peppers, making it a little sweeter, green yuzu kosho offers the vegetal taste of green chili peppers. Our unique black yuzu kosho is coloured by mineral-rich bamboo charcoal that delivers a rich, earthy flavour.
