White miso is a sweeter, less salty miso that has been fermented over a shorter period for a lighter flavour.

Excellent for a light miso soup this miso can also be used to marinate meat, fish and vegetables and can be added to any soup where a slightly sweetened umami flavour is called for. Pair with our Kombu for an excellent quality miso soup.


Make Miso Soup

Ingredients: Rice, soya beans, salt, glucose syrup, alcohol.

Storage: Cool, dark place. Refrigerate after opening.

Miso and Black Garlic-Glazed Pork Chop

Combine white miso with black garlic, black garlic sugar, a drop of water and a pinch of salt then reduce to a sticky treacle-like consistency.  Brush onto a pan-fried pork chop before finishing in the oven then serve with green vegetables, chilli and sesame seeds.  A versatile strongly-flavoured glaze that could be used for a variety of meats.
