Traditional ponzu sauce packed with the famously aromatic, tart and complex flavour of fresh yuzu juice. Authentic and high quality ingredients including kombu seaweed, hon mirin, plum and soy sauce provide the distinctive umami flavour. Mirin balances the tart yuzu juice with their natural sweetness.

Ponzu is classically used as a dipping sauce for gyoza, sushi and sashimi. It is also a very effective marinade for meat, fish and vegetables where it will add citrus zing and umami depth. Yuzu ponzu can also be used straight from the bottle for a very original salad dressing.

Available in 300ml and 700ml

Store in a cool, dark place. Refrigerate once open.

About Marusho

A family business now run by the fourth generation, Marusho's vinegar brewery is located in the same building where the business began in 1879.  Mud & wood walls and earthenware floors house the giant cedarwood barrels, some more than 100 years old, where the fermentation of the vinegars take place. Vinegars are made with rice grown on the family estate, water from the nearby Kumano mountains of Wakayama and only the highest quality natural ingredients. The progress of fermentation is minutely monitored by skilled craftsmen throughout the 90 - 500 day process.

Would highly recommend both of these products . They have changed the depth of flavour to everything they are added to .

So happy to hear you love the Namashibori and find that it adds umami to everything :)
