Experience the art of traditional Japanese stone grilling with our Ishiyaki grilling stones.

Crafted from natural volcanic stone, these premium cooking stones retain heat exceptionally well, allowing you to cook food directly at the table for an authentic and interactive dining experience.

Popular in Japanese restaurants, Ishiyaki (meaning "stone-grilled") cooking is prized for its ability to showcase the natural flavours of high-quality ingredients.

Once heated, the stone provides an intensely hot cooking surface, perfect for searing thin slices of beef, seafood, vegetables and mushrooms. The result is beautifully caramelised food with a delicious smoky aroma and tender, juicy texture.

How to use

The stones can be heated either in an oven or on a Japanese Konro grill.

Place the stone in a cold oven and gradually heat to approximately 250°C for 30–45 minutes, or place directly onto the wire rack of a Konro grill and gradually move it over onto the hot charcoal for 20–30 minutes.

Once thoroughly heated, carefully transfer the stone to a heat-resistant stand to use straight away.

You can then cook ingredients directly on the hot stone at the table, creating a memorable dining experience.

Sizes Available

  • 13cm width x 2.5cm height
  • 15cm width x 2cm height

These stones are Ideal for wagyu or other thinly sliced beef, tuna, scallops, king prawns, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms and other quick-cooking ingredients.

They are a fantastic addition to any Konro grill setup and bring a touch of Japanese restaurant theatre to home dining.

Care Instructions

Always heat the stone gradually and allow it to cool naturally after use.

Never place a cold stone directly into a hot oven or directly onto an already-heated grill, as sudden temperature changes may cause cracking.

Clean with warm water and a soft brush, avoiding detergents which may be absorbed by the stone.

Ensure the stone is completely dry before storing or reheating.
