Frequently asked questions

Our collection is complete with a range of sizes and designs to suit any purpose, from ramen spoons to rice spatulas. Our range of Japanese spoons can be matched to perfectly accompany chopsticks, bowls, serving plates and other tableware, so you can present delicious, classic cuisine with flair!

The term chirirenge – often shortened to renge – translates to “a petal of the lotus flower that has fallen off,” referring to the unique shape of traditional Japanese soup spoons and ramen spoons. Our spoons are designed with this authentic and elegant style in mind, creating a product that’s both practical and beautiful.

Our Japanese ramen spoons feature a deep, rounded bowl and long handle, perfect for scooping up broths, noodles and toppings in one go. Their elegant design elevates your dining experience whilst staying practical and authentic.

Japanese soup spoons are great for many dishes, including ramen, udon, donburi, miso soup, tonkotsu broth and more! Their generous bowls and balanced handles make them perfect for sipping rich broths and scooping vibrant ingredients.

As well as Japanese soup spoons and ramen spoons, we also have a range of rice spatulas in our collection to help you create delicious sushi rice dishes.

Our porcelain spoons are dishwasher-safe, but our wooden spoons are not. Please hand wash your wooden ramen spoon or rice spatula in warm, soapy water, taking care not to soak it for too long. After washing, always dry your spoons thoroughly.
