Ramen Bowl - Japanese Wave 'Seikaiha'

A beautiful Japanese noodle bowl, featuring a speckled charcoal grey exterior with a textured interior blue wave design and a deep blue rim, is a beautiful example of traditional Japanese art and symbolism. Although perfect to enjoy a wonderful bowl of ramen noodles, the versatile size means it can be used for soup, udon noodles, salads, pasta  or desserts.

The Seikaiha or "blue ocean waves" design is a repeating pattern of overlapping arches that resemble stylized waves. This pattern dates back over a thousand years in Japanese art and has been used in textiles, ceramics and other forms of decoration.
