Use these cedarwood sheets as a unique way to flavour your food with the aromatic, smoky aromas of cedarwood. Sheets are moistened with water (or sake, beer or whiskey for more complex flavours), fish or white meat is then marinated (miso works well) and wrapped in the sheets before grilling or barbecuing.
Oils and tannins from the wood release the distinctive cedar aroma which works especially well with mackerel, red mullet, sea bass, courgettes and aubergines.
Sheets can also be placed on the barbecue, or Konro grill, with foil below the sheets and food on top.
