In addition to the aromatic and complex citrus flavours of Kito Yuzu, this kosho includes seven other ingredients: Hon Taka chilli pepper, green shiso, ginger, Aonori seaweed, solar salt and black sesame.
An initially sharp hit of chilli heat, the tart yuzu and ginger flavours soften to a warm mouth sensation from the sansho that lingers with mineral notes of seaweed, salt and sesame.
Use in small amounts on canapés or added to sauces and marinades, also works very well as a spicy dip when added to soy sauce, ponzu, mayonnaise or yogurt.
