Signature Brew is an excellent everyday table sake. Smooth, easy to drink and incredibly versatile, it can be enjoyed at a range of temperatures.
Futsushu, the standard, most widely consumed type of sake in Japan, often gets overlooked, but Signature Brew shows just how delicious this style can be. While technically a futsu-shu, or “non-premium” sake, Michisakari have gone further than expected, polishing the rice to 60%, the same as ginjo-level sake.
The nose is soft with aromas of banana and melon. On the palate, flavours of cereal, rice, and caramel are balanced by a pleasing acidity and body, resulting in a rich, smooth and dry taste. The finish is long and wonderfully moreish.
Supplied in a generous 1.8L bottle, this sake is perfect for the professional kitchen, for larger gatherings or for simply enjoying at the table.
It works particularly well with stronger-flavoured dishes, such as barbecued chicken, ribs, sweet sauces, mushroom risotto and creamy desserts.
