Our range includes refreshing soda and tonic waters, traditional Japanese drinks like amazake (with a range of different flavours including yuzu and matcha), yuzu-flavoured soft drinks, ume beverages and other artisanal Japanese refreshments. You can also find a wide range of syrups and drinking vinegars, which are perfect for adding a touch of concentrated flavour (such as ume plum, yuzu and shiso) to other beverages. 

Amazake is a traditional Japanese sweet, non-alcoholic rice drink made from fermented rice and koji. Naturally creamy and slightly sweet, it can be enjoyed warm or chilled as a soft drink, or it can also be used as a dessert base, a natural sweetening agent, or an ingredient in smoothies and sauces. 

In addition to being a popular and delicious drink, amazake is also seen as a healthy option because it’s packed with natural enzymes, amino acids and vitamins B1, B2 and B6 – in fact, it’s widely considered a hangover cure in Japan! 

At The Wasabi Company, we offer authentic amazake crafted using traditional methods in addition to flavoured options including yuzu, matcha and sesame amazake – perfect for sipping on its own or adding a touch of Japanese tradition to your dessert and cocktail recipes.

Mikan juice is a refreshing Japanese soft drink made from mild, sweet, seedless mandarin oranges called mikan. With its sweet and slightly tangy flavour, mikan juice can be enjoyed on its own or in a wide range of cocktails and mocktails.

Japanese drinking vinegars are tangy, fruit-infused vinegar beverages traditionally enjoyed for their refreshing taste and perceived health benefits – especially compared to sugary sodas. They’re often mixed with still or sparkling water (typically 1 part vinegar to 4–5 parts water) and are made using ingredients like yuzu, ume plum and sudachi.

Unopened bottles can generally be stored in a cool, dark place. Once opened, most drinking vinegars and soft drinks should be refrigerated and consumed within the timeframe listed on the label.
